Hi! I’m Jerren Ruff
I’m co-owner of Jesus Electric. I’m the father of four beautiful children (and counting), the husband of the most beautiful and amazing woman I’ve ever met, and a follower of the same Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who rose from the dead about 2,000 years ago.
About Me
A Young Man Comes Home
Just like the Prodigal Son, I was raised by good parents who taught me what was right, and I always thought that because I knew about God, I was good enough; but around middle school I started to believe a lie that so many have believed — that the world could fulfil more than the God Who I was made for and Who I was made to know. The older I got, the more I selfishly went out into the world looking for fulfilment in its various mirages, but its pleasures were always fleeting. In this process I also started to come under a deep conviction of conscience about the wrongs I was doing. The path I was on led to me virtually losing everything — except a seed; a truth that I had learned since I was a kid that goes like this:
“If you will confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and will believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
When I had no hope, and saw that’s God’s righteous wrath was waiting for me, I remembered God’s love through Jesus’ self-sacrificing death on the Cross for the whole world, including myself.
Just like the Prodigal Son, I turned back to my Father with all my heart, and He completely changed my heart and my whole life from that moment forward. For the first time that I could remember, I had a desire to be righteous in all areas of my life. I was born again, and I literally and figuratively came back home.
After this new beginning, many new doors opened, and one of them was a job offer as a shop kid at a local electrical company. This began the story of my electrical career.
From pre-apprentice, apprentice, journeyman, licensed master, and foreman, to electrical contractor, and with experience in commercial new construction, custom homes, remodels, multi-family, municipal/state, service work, and specialty equipment installation, and with over 16 years of experience in the industry, by God’s grace I and our team have the capability to tackle a wide range of electrical projects.
It’s amazing how much a life can turn around by a decision to deny self and follow Jesus.
